A database is a collection of data that is stored in a computer system. Databases allow their users to enter, access, and analyze the data quickly and easily. The course is a basic level module in which some database concepts in are taught. The course will provide the set of skills for utilizing relational and NoSql databases for multipurpose applications.


The topics covered by the course cover database fundamentals; installation and configuration of the database management system; usage of Microsoft Access and its objects: tables, queries, forms, reports and macros; installation and configuration of Microsoft SQL Server; using SQL statements for data acquiring, analysis and modification; using DBeaver and Sql Server Management Studio; data manipulation with Python.


After completing this module, the students will be able to prepare frameworks for data storage and analysis. The main outcome of the course will be the database project.
