International Legal English is a course for law students or newly-qualified lawyers who need to use English in their legal work or studies. Suitable also for self-study, the course prepares learners for using English in different areas of law environment and is divided into five semesters.
The following legal topics are covered during the 2nd semester [2/5] of this course:
· Company law : fundamental changes in a company /constitutional amendment, consolidation, acquisition of controlling shares / voluntary liquidation merger / sale of substantially all assets / compulsory winding-up
· Contracts : contract formation / essential terms of a contract / types of contracts / contract clauses and negotiation
· Contracts : remedies / types of damages / specific performance / understanding contract clauses / interviewing a client / types of breach
